At Hawk’s Nest, learning begins with peace, play, and presence. We are a nature-based homeschool and community in Jupiter Farms dedicated to nurturing the whole child — mind, body, and spirit — through art, music, mindfulness, and outdoor exploration.
Rooted in the belief that education is a family journey, we invite parents to learn alongside their children through coaching, shared nature sessions, and gatherings that strengthen the bonds of home and heart. More than a school, Hawk’s Nest is a living sanctuary for families seeking a conscious, creative, and compassionate approach to learning and life.

Meet Our Creative Team.
Hawk’s Nest Home School was founded by a passionate team of educators, artists, and community leaders dedicated to nurturing the whole child through nature-based, heart-centered learning. Rooted in a blend of Waldorf-inspired practices, emotional intelligence, and creative exploration, our founders bring decades of combined experience in alternative education. With deep respect for seasonal rhythms, Earth connection, and child-led discovery, they have created a heart-centered community where children and families can grow, thrive, and feel inspired.

With over five years of experience in natural, inclusive education, Melissa has taught children from the mountains of Appalachia to the flatlands of Florida. She is skilled in developing engaging lessons, fostering positive classroom environments, and building strong communication with students, parents, and team members.
Melissa’s journey began on an off-grid mountain farm, where she naturally connected with local children and became their homeschool teacher—an experience that revealed her true calling in education.
Passionate about cultivating curiosity, creativity, and emotional well-being, Melissa is dedicated to holistic, hands-on learning that honors each child’s natural rhythms. Her mission is to support children’s growth through nature-based education, knowing that nurturing young minds is one of the most impactful ways to shape a better future.

The Hawk’s Nest Adventure Series is a three-hour nature experience for children and families who crave exploration, connection, and hands-on learning in the great outdoors.

Our Little Hawks program is a gentle introduction to the world of learning, designed for young children and their parents to explore, play, and grow together.

The Afterschool Hawk’s Nest Tribe offers children a mindful, nature-based extension of the school day — a place to unwind, connect, and grow through creativity and community.
